Education Rabbi

Rabbi Vered Harris

Rabbi Harris has served as our Education Rabbi since 2000. In addition to her rabbinic ordination from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, Rabbi Harris also earned her Master of Arts degree in Jewish Education in 1998 from the Rhea Hirsch School of Education, and was awarded the title of Reform Jewish Educator in 2002. Rabbi Harris enjoys working with our educational team to create meaningful moments of learning for congregants of all ages. Rabbi Harris’ family is from the United States and Israel, and she has lived in California, Israel, Germany, and Ohio prior to settling in Kansas with her husband Benjamin and their three children.  To email Rabbi Harris, click here.



Religious School and Youth Groups Director

Marcia Rittmaster

Marcia began her involvement at Beth Torah in 1990 as the congregation’s first youth group advisor. She has taught fifth and ninth grades in the religious school. In 1996, she became the Religious School Administrator, which has evolved into her current position as Religious School and Youth Groups Director. In addition to overseeing the day-to-day administration of the religious school, along with Rabbi Vered Harris, she addresses the needs of Beth Torah students and families. Her responsibilities include working with our volunteer youth advisors for the Beth Torah Temple Youth (BTTY), the Junior Youth Group (JYG), 5th and 6th Grade TWeen Youth Groups (TWYG), over-seeing Jewish camp promotion and directing the Madrichim program.
