11th & 12th grade Programs

Kavanah Program
The Kavanah Program: An Incentive Program for Jewish Young Adult Learning & Living, recognizes 11th & 12th grade students who show they have the intention to make learning a lifelong habit by completing 50 hours of Jewish study and action each year. All 11th and 12th grade students will receive a list of approved activities in September so they may start accumulating credits. Awards will be given in May.  Click here to see the list of activities that qualify.

Madrichim Program

Madrichim are teacher's assistants in CBT's Weiner Religious School classrooms on Sundays and/or Wednesday afternoons.  Click here to learn more about this program.

The Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion hosts weekend programs for 11th and 12th graders on their Cincinnati Campus.  Beth Torah may nominate two teens for each of the following programs:

November 10-12, 2006 HUC/RAC "Social Action Weekend”
December 1-3, 2006 Gesher “The Birds, the Bees and the Bible”
January 12-15, 2007  HUC Academy “I Still Have a Dream”
March 23-25, 2007  Mechkar “The Ten Commandments: Stone Cold?”
April 13-15, 2007  High School Leadership Conference  “More than Just a Good Falafel: Understanding Israel
