Adult Learning
At Congregation Beth Torah we approach adult education as part of the path of Lifelong Jewish Learning. From September to May we offer weekly Sunday morning and occasional Wednesday night courses when the Weiner Religious School is in session. There are also year-long courses on Shabbat morning, Thursday morning, and Wednesday afternoon.
For more information about Lifelong Learning at CBT, contact Rabbi Harris at vharris@beth-torah.org or (913) 498-2212.
The Lifelong Learning schedule to-date is as follows (please refer to often as this will be updated as new topics are added):

Discussion on the Writings of the Torah Thursdays 8:00 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. and Shabbat 9:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. Join the community in discussion with Rabbi Levin on Thursdays or Shabbat or both.
Wisdom on Wednesdays 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. In the Bride’s Room Join our ongoing Talmud discussion group for a midweek lunch and learn. We promise to engage you in rabbinic thought combined with modern sensibilities. Participants read aloud from the Shottenstein translation of the Talmud (Artscroll), taking time to discuss and question along the way. There isn’t any homework, no prior knowledge is necessary, and you will be amazed, impressed, and excited by how quickly your understanding of Talmud begins to develop as you explore this critical text with new friends.
