If you don’t think that your child has received a birthday card from Rabbi Levin, or if you have a newborn baby, we may not have his/her birthday in our database. Please call or email
info@beth-torah.org to confirm your child’s full name and birthday. Thank you!

Family School and Other Special Events
Religious education is most effective when there is a solid relationship between the school and the family. We encourage parents to share in Jewish learning with their children in order to enhance every aspect of Jewish identity. Mark your calendars now to attend the following sessions with your child(ren) in the coming year.
Parents will meet in the Youth Lounge for breakfast at 10:00 a.m. on Family School days. Sometimes there will be a program of particular interest to a specific grade level and other times this will be an opportunity for parents to get to know each other. At 11:00 a.m. the parents will join their students in the classroom for a shared learning experience.
4th Grade to reSTart
4th Grade Field Trip to the reStart Shelter - Jewish tradition teaches that providing food to the needy is an obligation not to be taken lightly. “If a stranger comes and says, ‘I am hungry. Please, give me food,’ we are not allowed to check to see if he is honest or not. We must immediately give him food.” (Mishneh Torah 6:6) Mazel Tov to the 4th Grade on their VERY successful Bake Sale. Parents and students will tour the reStart facilities and come away with a better understanding of how their efforts have helped fulfill the mitzvah of mazon (feeding the hungry).
YAEC Faculty & Madrichim Appreciation
The Youth Activities & Education Committee will honor our teachers and madrichim on Sunday, December 11th, with a Faculty & Madrichim Appreciation Luncheon of homemade soups, salads and desserts preceding our December Faculty Meeting. Thanks to Dawn Frischer for coordinating this year’s event. If you’d like to help, contact Dawn at dartreporting@kc.rr.com

Occasionally there will be a short program, but more often these will be opportunities to network. Check the schedule below and mark your calendars now.
